Greg Alder

Creative Evangelist. Relentless Optimist. Human Potentialist.

Greg Alder knows what it’s like to have your creativity schooled out of you.

With each year of education, his results got worse. Only one teacher pushed his imagination. In most classes, he designed cars and houses. He studied architecture because he loved design – then got bored with drafting. He studied psychology because he was fascinated by people – then got bored with focus groups.

He found his purpose as a writer and creative director in Australia, the UK and Mexico. He discovered that creativity wasn’t just an asset. It was the whole game.

He learnt two things that have shaped everything since: The potency of storytelling, and the importance of creativity in all facets of business.

“Nothing else has creativity’s power to tell brand stories memorably, touch emotions, transform outcomes, and turn buyer’s markets into seller’s markets.”

200 awards, 10 million words.

Greg has written 10 million+ words for clients. He has won 200+ global awards.

He is a regular speaker, having addressed the National Press Club of Australia and Mumbrella360, Australia’s biggest media and marketing conference.

Global problems, unique solutions.

Over the decades, he has tailored and delivered brand, creativity, innovation and culture programs for clients in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.

He is a former director of companies in Australia and Mexico – he understands the pressures on leadership teams.

Hello Leonardo is Greg’s most personal work – a book born from a lifetime of watching brilliant people succumbing to the belief that they’re not creative. He knew exactly how to prove them wrong. And he put the proof into Hello Leonardo.

The book and the workshops prove that creativity is not a talent someone is born with or without. You possessed it. It was taken from you. And Greg shows you how to steal it back.

Greg lives in the Northern Rivers region on Australia’s east coast, with sugarcane, avocado and macadamia farms to the south and world-famous surfing beaches to the north.
